The thoughts of a bunman, floating helplessly in space

Panel 1: Frontal view again, but the bubble roof is open behind a large copper spring that has sprung up filling most of the panel. Above it, we see the bottom 3/4 of Captain Snowball in his space suit from the preceding panel, the spring flinging  him upward into outer space.

Panel 2: Captain Snowball is in his space suit, floating in space, his hand scratching at the frontal pane of his helmet. The red dwarf Gliese 581 hangs prominently in the center, upon it, Snowball imagines a cottontail rabbit in the wild, fleeing a hawk. Caption: “I thought… this must’ve been the kind of fear my ancestors felt when a hawk swooped down and missed….”

Panel 3: Captain Snowball in his space suit, floating in space, his face smushing against the frontal pane of his helmet. The H’Kotha vessel and the abandoned Thumper XVI have swung into view; the H’Kotha vessel is firing on the abandoned ship.   Caption: “…one second was the difference between life and death. I’d passed through dangers as no bun had before… at least as none had since…”

Panel 4: Captain Snowball in his space suit, floating in space. The H’Kotha vessel is no longer prominent, it is a retreating speck in the far-away background. The H’Kotha vessel has sliced the abandoned Thumper XVI into pieces, disparate pieces float around. Caption: “My ancestors, the brave buns of the past… avoiding destruction.”

Panel 5: Captain Snowball in his space suit, floating in space, close up on his hand scratching at the frontal pane of his helmet. Caption: “my ancestors’

Panel 6: A laboratory rabbit, his hand scratching at the frontal bars of his cage.  Caption: “My father, like hundreds of generations of my ancestors before him, was born into captivity.”

Panel 7: We see test rabbits in a vertical stack of cages, one cage on top of another, and the bottom rabbit is biting the bars. “BITE BITE BITE BITE!” Caption: “The story of how he avoided destruction began in a laboratory in Seoul, Korea…”

Panel 8: Caption: “…an awful place, one where rabbits were locked in harness boxes & subjected to barbaric eye drop experiments..” We see three white test rabbits in locked harness boxes atop a laboratory counter. The middle bun looks enraged, not resigned to his fate like the others. A thought bubble rises from his head: “REVENGE…”
